Teens are the next generation of successful people who are going to change the world. It is up to our communities to help us grow and prepare us for adulthood. That includes making sure that we know how to take care of our self which includes our mental health. As teens we know how stressful in can be to balance out our life because these are our most important years that will determine our future. We don't exactly have a guide or a hand book that teaches us how to take time for our self to make sure we are okay so we won't get so stressed out and feel overwhelmed with school and other problems we might have. In the article "Understanding the Mental Health Crisis Facing Today’s Youth" the author Sandy talks about how much percentage of kids in high school and college feel overwhelmed and stressed and over the years it has increased. In 1985, 18 percent of students felt overwhelmed. In 2000, 28 percent felt overwhelmed. By 2016, nearly 41 percent of incoming students felt overwhelmed. We plan to change that. We want every single teen to be able to balance all of their emotions and mental health in a healthy way so that they can achieve even more and be more successful.
